Waxing Moon—Shukla Paksha- Benefic (Shukla Pakash Ashtami to Krishna Paksha Ashtami)

Wanning Moon- Krishna Paksha-Melefic(Krishna Paksha Ashtami to Shukla Paksh Ashtami)

If Moon is before the Sun in Horoscope, then there will be Krishna Paksha and it is after the Sun, then it will be Shukla Paksha. If both are combined then there will be Amavasya.
